Katharine Robinson, founder of Sourcing Hat Ltd, uses the Internet to track down and engage hard-to-find talent and provides bespoke sourcing training to recruitment teams.

Katharine has experience in both Executive Search and In-house recruitment. She has worked on projects with the likes of Capgemini Consulting, The ERA, Ochre House and Verizon. She is currently working closely with the UK Talent Acquisition team at PepsiCo.

Katharine is one of only four people to hold the title of GrandMaster Sourcer – an accolade awarded by SourceCon for winning one of their toughest challenges.

In 2009, Katharine started UK Sourcers, a community of recruitment professionals in the UK who regularly get together to share ideas around the topic of sourcing. UK Sourcers has run 5 events, has an active blog and a presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

Before getting involved in Sourcing, Katharine studied Mathematics and Physics at The University of Reading and trained to be a Maths teacher. When she’s not sourcing, Katharine is most likely to be found on her sofa watching Star Trek or Doctor Who and eating cheese. To find out more about Katharine and connect with her online, just search for “TheSourceress”.

I have had the opportunity to interact with Katharine on several occasions and every single time I meet with her she gives me new ideas on sourcing techniques to test and try. I regard Katharine as a valuable authority on all things sourcing and direct recruitment related. 10/10 on the Rating scale!
