Maureen Sharib is the most famous phone sourcer this side of Mars. And I dare anyone to prove me wrong

Recruiting Animal

Since 1996, Maureen Sharib has been providing sound and secure telephone sourcing and discrete competitive intelligence services to companies around the world.

She understands the pressure recruiters feel when things get real – when it’s time to get off the Internet and get on the phone.  She knows what it’s like when your heart pounds in your chest and the receiver get slippery in your hand and you feel sick to your stomach – she gets it.

She knows what the thought of Gatekeepers do to most of you.

Maureen’s been there – done all that and she’s going to walk through this scary process from the top down – removing the mystery and simplifying things just as one of her students recently remarked, breaking “…phone sourcing, which seems to be an overwhelming task/ down into small manageable tasks.”

Maureen is a phone sourcing specialist and a pioneer in effectively communicating the process of telephone sourcing to the recruiting community.  An everyday hands-on phone practitioner and trainer, speaker, observer of human nature, thinker and non-stop writer, Maureen is going to share proven tricks, tips and techniques that come directly out of her years and years of boots-on-the-ground experience and her obsessive/compulsive note-taking.

Maureen has written for years and years for many publications, spoken at many conferences and gatherings, hosted and mavened countless online forums and groups all on unassailable telephone sourcing and communication issues and has been a long time member of the animal crew on the Recruiting Animal Radio Show, an online call-in radio show about recruiting.

She’s also the author of the only-of-its-kind-in-the-world Magic In The Method – the seminal, safe and sublime telephone sourcing training delivered both online and onsite to groups and individuals. Maureen lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in economics.  She collects old telephones so if you have one you want to get rid of she’ll take it.  The organization she founded and owns,, Inc. does phone sourcing, data renewal, organizational mapping and competitive intelligence work.
